Title: Unable to Resize Whisker Menu
Post by: Daveyboy on May 06, 2021, 07:57:32 AM
Having just upgraded LL3.8 to LL5.2 without any major issues I have come across one very annoying issue. Despite trying everything I know I am no longer able to freely resize the whisker menu panel i.e. it will resize in height only but not in width.

I prefer to have the smallest possible icons withing this menu and the menu looks now ridiculous with loads of wasted white space and the width of the menu taking up a third of the whole screen. I've never experienced this issue in previous versions of LL where I have always been able to resize this window freely.

Can someone please help me resolve this issue or point out where I am going wrong. TIA

When you said that you "just upgraded from 3.8 to 5.2", which is not possible by the way, do you mean you just installed LL 5.2?

"Whisker menu panel"? Is it whisker menu you're having problems with? Or is it the xfce4-panel? Which one is it? Can you post a screenshot, please?

I was able to upgrade from LL3 to LL5 because my/home directory was on a seperate partition. Unfortunately this resulted in a number of program options had changed their name over the period i.e. Main Menu had become Menu Editor etc and this resulted in numerous redundant references scattered amongst the menu structure.

I decided to perform a complete reinstallation of LL5 with a blank /home partition which has resolved the above issue completely however, I am not impressed with the new Menu Editor as it was far esier to set the menu structure up exactly how I wanted it with the Old Main Menu.
