Hello all,
Am not entirely new to Linux distros (at least I've used Ubuntu for 3 months).
Here's what just happened:
I wanted to install Linux lite - I was already dual booting Ubuntu 17.10 with Win 8. However, my hard drive space was filled up, so I decided to shrink the partition Ubuntu resides on - I did this using gpart (I think that's the name) with an Ubuntu live drive.
It was successful, except it seems it corrupted Ubuntu.
Back to LL

I installed Linux Lite 3.8 64bit, choosing to erase Ubuntu and install LL - this went on successfully.

When attempting to boot, Linux lite doesn't show up at the Boot Menu, but Ubuntu still shows.

So I select Ubuntu, but get an error screen containing:

Minimal BASH-like line editing editing I'd supported. For the first word, TAB lists possible command completions. Anywhere else TAB lists possible device or file completions.

grub>_

I know this has to do with repairing grub, but please how do I get to do it?
Thank you.
