Tip: alarm-clock no sound - enable Event Sounds in Settings/Appearance/Settings

I installed the handy little utility alarm-clock, but no sounds selected would play (took a while to find out where some sound files are which is: usr/share/sounds - I still can't find things like this with any search utility and have to go online to find anything like that).

Later, I found out that in Settings/Appearance/Settings there is a place you can enable 'Event Sounds' and then Alarm-Clock worked fine. (I need it for work so it is an important little app for me).
