When typing password into terminal it will appear as if nothing is being entered.  The cursor doesn't move and no characters show while typing it.  That is normal for passwords typed into terminal, so just go ahead and type whole password then hit enter and it should work.

I'm using a Gateway laptop, Pentium 4 processor, 1G ram. I installed Linux Lite 1.0.8 and everything seems to be working fine EXCEPT......when I open the LXTerminal to install updates, software, etc. it asked for my password. No matter what key I press it doesn't recognize the keyboard and continues to flash. Help...NEWBIE!!!
Tks
