Title: Installing LinuxLite to Android Tablet?
Post by: PinStripe on February 15, 2017, 02:02:18 PM
Hey...

Anyone tried installing LinuxLite to an Android tablet? I have a LG G Pad 8 and want to install LinuxLite to it.
I know I have to root the device first and then find a rom. I've never done this before and it's hard to trust
most guys online as they get their jollys helping people screw up their devices. Anyone here have any real
info on this? It would be Very much appreciated!!

I would suggest searching tablet from the main forum page.. There are several posts in regard to your question. I have attempted (minimally) to dual boot my Windows tablet..
Not certain if anyone has installed LL to an Android tablet and if so which make/model, CPU(hardware), rooted vs non-rooted etc etc..
You may want to google your tablet version along with Ubuntu scouting for successes noting process and trials... More so if wanting LL3.x series google Ubuntu 16.04 or 14.04 for the 2.x series..

Probably not the specific answer your looking for....   :-\

1st stumbling block

Quad-core, 1200 MHz, ARM Cortex-A7

From Here (http://www.phonearena.com/phones/LG-G-Pad-8.0_id8650)

If wanting to play with Linux on it instead of Android <which is linux, just different>

Better read up a little on cpu architecture. Because all cpu kernels are not the same.

Raspbian Jessie PIXEL, is for Arm, unsure if its suitable, for your tablet.
