LL has been the release I've been wanting for so long, had no big issues with the 1x releases, but 2 is the best thing since Windows 2000 which brought about end of the Blue screen issues I dealt with on a daily basis as an IT tech! am sure this distro will be among the most popular soon!

Am lucky I am given decent laptops that have run Vista on a regular basis and am able to play with the releases, and if I go crazy and break the system, it's just part of the fun, have not managed to break anything yet!

It's amazing how someone took it upon themselves to make a better menu for XFCE and out popped the Whisker Menu. Don't think there will ever be a better menu!

I started with 2.0, so I can't comment on the other releases, but LL is by far the best distro I've run to date. Very happy with it.  ;D

I know what you mean. I took the plunge to 2.0 last week and now very happy I did.

Have been putting it off long enough, mainly because 1.0.6 was heavily set up for developing LL, just didn't want to have to go through all that again. But took the plunge nonetheless!

Gotta say I'm very happy that I did. What I'm loving about 2.0:

  • Display handling - the Display Settings feature in the new XFCE is awesome for dual monitors, extended displays
  • Sound control from the tray
  • Whisker Menu
  • Nothing beats a fresh, clean install :)
