Facing problem in updating software

You should be asked to enter your password. Type it in and then press return.
Once the dpkg command has run, updating should work again.

E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem.

I shall appreciate if it is corrected online.
