I don't know the technical reason why the encryption check mark option in the installation process won't work or is advised not to use by Linux Lite, but the sanctioned process is located here:

I thought I'd give this distribution a whirl last night, it took four attempts, the first three attempts I was tying options with encryption for the whole file system and/or the home directory. All failed  >:( due to (I think) the OS/installer not able to find /dev/urandom - I also think this was just for the user creation part.

I installed Linux Lite with no problems with no encryption selected.  :)

Not sure if this is the right place to report or if this is a unique incident?

Anyone else had this issue?

Regards,

Walker.

P.S. First impressions are good!
