  • CPU: amd athlon 64 x2

  • MEMORY: 4Gb

  • VIDEO CARD: amd radeon hd 6750

  • Kernel: 5.x
Update: I read the link https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1854142 and downloaded the Boot Repair Disk and that has fixed my computer, i can now boot into LinuxLite & Windows.

I now have the problem that my Ethernet connection does not work. In the Edit Connections - Device box it asks to input the interface name or Permanent MAC or both.

I looked on my modem but they are not on there, can someone help me fix this please ?

hi @Derekfg

Glad you sorted it out! :)

@Derekfg best practice here is to start a new thread for each separate issue.

I thought i would try something, so what i did was loaded the live cd into safe mode.

And once the desktop loaded i went into Menu - System - Systemback and then clicked on >> system repair - clicked on Mount and then clicked next and Repair the GRUB 2 bootloader - Start.

Once that finished i rebooted my computer and entered the bios menu and selected the windows 7 and that now works, but Linux Lite still has the same error.

Linux Lite seems to be missing from grub menu, how do i add it to grub ?

Hi @Derekfg

I have 2 hard drives on my computer, linux lite & bindows 7

Can you boot into Windows? By the way, you wrote "bindows" lol which is "a JavaScript based Software Development Kit (SDK) for writing Rich Internet Applications." from wikipedia. I googled it cause I was curious whether or not such "bindows" even existed

Googling your issue I found this post which seems to be your exact same problem and might be of some help https://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1854142

Hope this helps! :)
