Since a few days, 34 updates came along in one lump..., the message; 'Can't fetch update list...' appears'!?
In looking for updates via 'Control+Alt+T' I receive a warning;
W: Failed to fetch http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/deb/dists/stable/Release (http://dl.google.com/linux/chrome/deb/dists/stable/Release) Unable to find expected entry 'main/binary-i386/Packages' in Release file (Wrong sources.list entry or malformed file)
E: Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
What am supposed to do best!? Thank you

It appears Google hasn't corrected this still. A workaround is addressed elsewhere on the forum at https://www.linuxliteos.com/forums/installing-software/fix-for-google-chrome-on-linux-lite/msg21863/#msg21863.

Thank you Torreydale for your straight forward advise!!!
It works perfect on 32bit & 64bit.
I like to add that on 64bit after copying the two lines I de-installed the Google Chromium version via 'Lite Software' and installed the free version of Google Chromium otherwise you're back in square ONE because the re-kindled update would re-install the trouble-causing Chromium version.
