I use a WD mypassport (red), it was difficult to get working, I needed help from the forum staff, it comes with preinstalled software etc -

Since solved how to remove that and format, it has worked okay.


Thank you. Will have a look to see what the difference is between that one and the WD Elements

Thanks Jocklad, just had a look, its 55 euro here in The Netherlands.

I bought a new 1TB WD Elements HDD about a year ago for backup.


Never had a problem with it.  :)

I am looking for a external hard drive. But as i have absolutely no idea what is a good one i thought i ask you guys.
Looking for a 1TB drive, no SSD. Laptop has a usb 3.0 port. Going to use it only for backups and my photos.
