Title: Removable flash disks open as empty text files
Post by: Lite Potato on November 13, 2017, 04:14:33 PM
When I try to access the contents of my USB flash disks, only a text editor opens. For some reason,  this does not happen on the LL live disk. Should I re-install only the OS partition or also /var, /opt, and /usr? This problem seems unrelated to drcrkeller's (https://www.linuxliteos.com/forums/hard-drives-and-ssd's/linux-lite-3-6-will-not-recognize-usb-flah-on-four-computers/).

I've seen similar before, maybe this (https://www.linuxliteos.com/forums/hard-drives-and-ssd's/cannot-open-external-drives/msg29744/#msg29744) will help?
Geany, referred to in that thread, is my preferred text editor.
