Title: Rear USB charging triggers Shotwell to open
Post by: CaperAsh on January 05, 2019, 01:49:05 PM
Since installing latest LL version (with latest Ubuntu LTS), every time I plug in a USB to charge cell phone, Shotwell opens up. Have no idea how to control this.

Does it open Shotwell or Shotwell Viewer?

Shotwell Viewer does not have the folder/catalogue structure on the left.

You may well have this configured in Thunar>Removable Drives and Media>Cameras

Thanks. I unchecked that one. Still not sure why it would default to a camera, but possibly it's reading the cell phone as being a camera.

Simply file association - jpg = shotwell (viewer)

Plug in anything with jpgs and it would/should do the same trick.

Glad it's sorted anyway

Thank you. Hopefully when I plug in the Camera disk I can easily mount it to open those files. Won't worry about that til later...
