  • CPU: Intel Core2 Duo E7500 3.0GHz

  • MEMORY: 4Gb

  • VIDEO CARD: Intel 4 Series Integrated Graphics
If this is not what you already tried, do the following:
  • Load DVD in tray
  • Open VLC
  • Along top of VLC window go to Media -> Open Disk -> Disk device -> choose "/dev/sr0" from drop-down box.  (See where my mouse pointer is in the screenshot below.)
  • Then hit "Play" button near bottom of window.

I just ran command inxi di and get:

So my guess it sees the DVD player but VLC player still wont play I get and error unable to open the MRL 'dvd:///dev/sr0'

Any Suggestions please? Thanks.
