[ SOLVED ] Open Arena game crashes on linux lite 4.0, but not on linux lite 3.8

open arena crashes when i select  single player , on linux lite 4.0, it never did this when i had linux lite 3.8, other people had this problem also .

when i typed just the word "openarena" with out the quotes into the Xfce terminal , i get this ............

works like a charm, did not have to use the patch, it ran from the unzipped folder perfect so far ..... i am going to leave this open for now....not going to mark it resolved yet.... but will later .
