II just had to load a fresh copy of LL and have finally gotten all my programs loaded and preferences set. Is there an easy (free) way to clone this drive to another SSD so that I have it for backup?
If not, I can make another fresh copy of LL and set it up once I need it.
Just curious. Thanks
Personal preferences.
To clone a drive - clonezilla. Effective tool to make an image of a disk and to restore a saved image to a new disk. The menus are comprehensive and flexible so may be a bit daunting first time use.
For other uses, the tools that come with Linux Lite work well.
To back up a data disk contents - grync
To backup home directory - deja dup
To backup system files - Timeshift
Would this work? Looks easy if it does.

Yes, it is one of the suite of basic commands that a utility like clonezilla uses and is widely used for disk cloning and disk image file creation. Just be 100% sure the command is correctly typed before pressing 'Enter' as it is unforgiving.
Don't I have to type in "sudo" and something else first? It looked like sudo -l on the video.
