Wow. Have not typed on a forum styled like this in a very long time.

7.8 Runs Great. Used it on a 2 Month Old Hasee X5
& I'm using it on my Favorite ride or die HP 15 r029wm Rev: 2213-100

Could use a good first guy crash course. [edit: Oh hey, see that Wiki link right on the Desktop? Booyahh]
MicroSlop CoSlop+ is lame.

Not getting locked out of a laptop all because I am in a car ever again. Linux, I've missed ya, bud.

I Mostly do the live boot thing, but when I get things setup how I want, I'll do Linny Bo Binny Proper. Thank you for your patience as I transend from Linux N0000b to Linux Novice.

Thank You. "The Penguin people are niiiceeeeeeee!" -Billy Madison

Before I begin, Jerry is my soon-to-be 90yo Grandmother's name. I love her. She is Phenomenal.

To give you a very trim summary of the technological journey that has brought Me here,
using the sweet USB thumb drive plugged right into my HP 15-r029wm
Quad-Core, single threaded 8GB of self-installed RAM (If you've ever been stuck with Win8.1 for an operating system roughly a decade ago, you know why the upgrade is necessary. If you've ever used computers, you know why the upgrade is necessary)
I've watched a fat man jump on this laptop. As far as taking a beating is concerned, this laptop I am currently typing on while running Linux Lite has most definitely endured many of them. It's trying to do its best at mimicking grandfather time's record in remaining undefeated.

I'm a lurker at best. Haven't felt the need to even read a forum at this particular magnitude in years and its astounding to see the amount of dual-cores out running around online.
That blows my mind. Very cool.
Its safe to say a blend of trends and marketing alone has caused for a very large amount of people to become blind over certain topics involving technology, leaving folks like me to seem extremely naive when approaching these mindsets.

Let's just say for the past 12 years of my life, I have been the owner of one single laptop. I'm surprised I never felt the need to go into windows and name this beast "Ride this mothertrucker until the wheels fall off" because oh my goodness.
But in the past 10 months, I've currently become in possession of more laptops than I have had since 2005, when I graduated High school and felt the need to see if a Library was upgrading (fun fact: They were, the G3 models at the time). Enough to make a stack. This isn't bragging, this is sheer, large amounts of gratitude over the matter, to say the absolute least.
Currently, I re-discovered an Ideapad 320 that I'm fixing before running Linux (usb ports look fried, 1 TB HDD infamously takes a coffee break whenever it feels like, runs stupidly hot while processing MicroSlop) that will also be back in action.

I have a raspberry zero just sitting in its packaging at the moment, as I have a multitude of laptops to go through.
I went through all of them so my girlfriend can have her memories back in regards to a previous marriage; she has been a widow for roughly four years prior.
The last parts of this unique procedure was performed right in front of her without the use of arbitrary code (if one would think I was going to [1]introduce that sort of thing to a person who I [2] Just recently met at the time and [3] wish to risk every aspect of integrity on that matter, dare I say one would be sadly mistaken) and inspired me in incredible ways.
Her late husband was a huge fan of penguins. The Band Logo for my Grandfather's Quartet, The Misfits, was a Penguin. There's been an increasingly large amount of significance in my life revolving around Penguins.

So with that said...
Things are working! This stuff is great so far!

Thank you so much!
-Cloppix

had to kinda rush things. Got some lingering eyes haha. I'll yack later, no doubt! time to head elsewhere!

At the end of the Day, there is one thing I must say. Above all. I have One Teacher (now deceased) to even thank for the reason why I know of Linux to even exist in the first place.
His name was Mr. Wilson. (Yes, just like the Dennis the Menace Cartoon)
Out of all the pupils in his class room, he and I would have very intelligent conversation on the side, sort of speak. And One Day, we discussed a solution to a problem I was having and long story short, My teacher dropped a freshly burned copy of KNOPPIX right on my desk before beginning class. i believe it was 4.0
Was a Blast to use on my setup back in 2004 hahaha as long as I was okay with muting my 5.1 surround sound, since the boot-up chime would occasionally feel the need to repeat on bootup and needless to say, the sound would become a bit much for most study sessions hhahahaha
Knoppix. We have Knoppix and dead people to thank for why I am even letting you read any of this. Thank You Knoppix and Dead People.

LONG LIVE LINUX LITE THO

no, seriously, this stuff is awesome.
I know its been said so many times years prior to now, but I have a feeling when the phrase "bro, did you know you can still do cool stuff with your old gear?" starts becoming more of a thing spoken amongst a particular niche in American Society, this Operating System could easily see a lot more use than it already does. It works so well.
