Hello everyone.

I joined a week or so ago to ask a question about the recent Bash vulnerability. I got an helpful reply from Scott and consequently upgraded to 2.0 but I thought I'd drop an introduction and thank you here.

I moved to Linux Lite back in April when Microsoft withdrew security updates for XP. Searching You Tube for a solution, I came across the videos of 'Puppy Linux World', who recommended Linux Lite as a replacement for XP and it's run faultlessly since being installed.

Without the work of Valtam and the team here at Linux Lite, this old PC might have ended up as scrap, so Linux Lite also helps the environment!

As one who struggles to put together a few lines of Python or VBA, I'm constantly amazed by the developers who give us these operating systems and applications. So a thank you to all here, for giving us the benefit of your knowledge and skills freely.

Regards

Yes, 'money makes the world go around', as they say, so I understand the need for business to bring new products to market  but unless you need the very latest hardware for power use, older machines often meet the needs of most people.
Puppy Linux World has been very generous to us. Welcome dby Smile
Hello dby,

Howdy and Welcome.
Hello!

Welcome to Linux Lite. For me, Linux has kept many laptops out of the landfill...
