I've been terribly preoccupied lately with building a new server and dealing with the annoying wait time for Debian 13 stable to drop. Anyway I was checking some references today and ran across this post on getcyber. It's a short read but addresses some of the frustrations I have with the modern Internet and the ridiculous amount of piled on new learning required to be up to date. Anyway I am of many of the same opinions expressed in this brief article. If you are as frustrated with the manic pace of Web "modernization" as I am it's nice to know we're not alone, and that there are people with considerable expertise who are asking why, and like me even postulating that "security" excuses are often only creating a more expansive fertile ground for security leaks and some "easier to use" programming languages are doing the same thing.
