When I was re-doing my menu entries I changed the items in "system" as follows:

I like Rob's idea or maybe just Package Manager to make it more generic.  8)

I like 'Package Manager'
I say leave it as "Install/Remove Software".  LL is supposed to help bring Windows users over to the dark side, right?  Things need to be named so that ex-Windows users can relate.  "Package manager" sounds more like a jock strap than anything having to do with programs.  I say, keep it simple.  (Wait.  That's part of the LL logo, isn't it?  Smile )
How about 'Package Installer'
It gives clarity.
If the default settings upon installing of LL for the Whisker menu were "Show generic applications names" and "Show applications descriptions", it would solve the problem and (I think) be a simple fix.

It would also make the parts of Libre Office Suite clearer: Word Processor, Presentation, Spreadsheet, and Formula Editor.

Install Additional Software & Remove Additional Software has the same icon
Hence we may select wrong application at times

Therefore changing icon can be taken as first step
