That is an awesome list, and thought I'd contribute to it:

Microsoft office - Softmaker Office (paid, but powerful)
PDF viewer - qpdfview
Mailer - Claws Mail

Sorry if this is considered necroposting

Regarding FreeCAD (2D drafting)  I would also
suggest  LibreCAD (3D modeling), perhaps this
would be a much better choice for some people.
