Hello.
New to this but I digress the printer HP envy 6052 does not accept queue, always empty. Have changed USB cord, searched OS Lite 4.8 updated etc PC HP 8000? SFF
Firefox and google to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have an HP1000 and the instructions in the manual work flawlessly...

If you haven't tried the steps per the manual - I would start there, then the Mint link should scanning not work...

I must be an idiot or senility has set in as getting cups to work, I've not been able to login.

Is user name and pass word same for cups as it is for this forum?

Is there a HP setup command that can be ran in terminal.

Should install...


Cups most likely will use your system username and password...

Tried system user name and pass word with no luck. I hope you guys are not getting frustrated trying to help me.

Think I need to walk away from this and try again tomorrow, maybe some time to rethink it with fresh thought.

Thanks for the help guys. I or we got it to print one page in yellow and from my frustration I think have too much installed to point of confusion. The instructions given here were excellent and I thank you all. I will order ink and delete and try a fresh reinstall. If problems persist as no direct match at cups for the 5060 will look for another printer. I'm thinking with new ink all will go well.
