To whom it may concern,
I am new to Linux Lite from Windows. Zoom requests the type of Linux (I select Other Linux OS since Linux Lite is not listed) and the version. The version options to select are gcc 4.7+ and gcc 4.6+. Which one do I select?

Easiest way is to open up a terminal and type this in.
sudo apt install zoom

Did You mean "how to install zoom"? You need to download the
.deb file(it's kind of like a windows' .exe) from here
https://zoom.us/download and select
Ubuntu as the
Linux Type, (Linux Lite is based on Ubuntu) once downloaded, go to the directory you saved the file in, i.e. Downloads, select it and hit enter. The Gdebi tool should start, just follow the instructions.
@all please, always check and if available download cross platform software from Lite Software before heading to the Internet for a source. We test and usually bundle the necessary deps into the script for trouble free installation.
