at what age do you consider old ?. ha ha .

any ways , i do more than just watch movies on youtube, i blog on wordpress, learn to use the linux terminal effectively when i need too, i learned to find the answer to hopefully fix my own linux problems, also i helped my uncle use linux, sometimes i do screen recordings on how to do stuff on linux or just how to do stuff ( but not often tho)  ,  linux has got me to learn things ,
i'm in my 50's , nearing the "Double Nickle", lol.
As an "Oldie" all In can say is if your setup runs smoothly on the "live" version, then you should have no problems.  If they have a printer, check that too, just to be sure

So they can use a web browser Wink
Chrome Firefox and a whole slew of others... Heck even my kids grew up on LL ;D
Any "standard" home work will be a breeze on LiLi.
When you want Gaming or Accounting using programs from "major" companies, that's another story. Wink
At 77 years old, I would be considered "old" by many people. That doesn't bother me one bit. It's a fact, and facts are usually impossible to dispute. So ....

Although I had, prior to my start of using Linux Lite, many years of using other computer operating systems. I started with a Timex-Sinclair 1000, then a TRS-80, then 3 versions of MS-DOS, before using Windows 3.1, 95, 98 SE, 2000 Pro, XP, and Win 7, before my first exposure to Linux with Lubuntu 12.04, then 14.04, 16.04, and 18.04.

I have been using Linux Lite 5 for about 4 months now, and I consider it the best computer operating system of all time, so far, regardless of the age of the user. The menuing system is logical, the OS has been completely stable from Day One for me, and LL just flat out works. i have added a few programs that are not included with the distro, because I choose to do more than just "watch some shows from the internet." Quite a bit more.

Try out a live session with your old people and see how they handle it. I suspect they will find it wonderful. You may even get some hugs out of it.  Wink
