I searched, can't find an answer. With older linux generations, I used to be able to just plug in ipod (older nano), it would be recognized by file manager and accessible via banshee or rhythmbox where I could upload or download/sync files.

Now, nada. I tried installing both banshee and ryhthmbox on the off chance that perhaps they were needed or had a needed driver packaged. Still nothing.

Is LL missing a driver or file reference to identify this device?
i have not an ipod but did find this tutorial on the web, maybe it can help:https://www.groovypost.com/howto/howto/sync-your-iphone-or-ipod-touch-in-ubuntu/
it has something to do with updating your Libimobiledevice, answer above was on my old account on the forums here Wink
Thanks, but didn't work. ipod still not recognized, does not show up under devices or in rhythmbox.

Got this message when running update:

E: The repository 'http://ppa.launchpad.net/pmcenery/ppa/ubuntu bionic Release' does not have a Release file.

Well that sure looks like it should be the solution, but still not recognizing the ipod after installation.
