Hi,
I am new to Linux.
I have managed to install apps from the store and from other third party sites.
But when I download Dashlane password manager for Deb, I get an exe file. Clicking on it only extracts the files. How do I install it?

There is no Dashlane 'for Deb' or Linux. You have to use either the Firefox or Chrome addon and operate it within a browser.
