Hello!
By default, Indicator Plugin is part of the bottom panel. I have recently schooled myself some on all this,by trying to get all the icons to be the same color in MY panel, after I changed things from the default color scheme.
At the end of the day, what matters is that you were able to ultimately resolve the issue. Reinstalling is a powerful cure for what ails someone's install...
