Hmmm...
Not sure what's up, or which setting to change.
Followed the instructions here:
https://docs.xfce.org/xfce/xfce4-power-manager/faq
and found this line among many:
TRACE[xfpm-polkit.c:366] xfpm_polkit_check_auth_intern(): Action=org.freedesktop.login1.suspend is authorized=TRUE
which has a different number (366 vs 406), but seems to show it's authorised internally. So I guess it should work.
That's all I know!

On the Power Manager Security tab - Lock Screen when system is going to sleep - uncheck.
Just possible that it is confusing sleep and suspend???

Hi robinc,
I can now confirm that it didn't work. It definitely doesn't go into sleep/suspend, but puts up the Authentication required popup, which is waiting for me when I log back in.
Will have to try a full reinstall and see what that does.
