[member=6960]Vera[/member] this isn't to install it, this is for Set Default Browser in Lite Tweaks (read above). I doubt I'll ever add it to Lite Software, default ad blocking is like shooting myself in the foot Smile
Oops sorry, I misunderstood!! Sorry again, and I get what you're saying.  :-[ Thanks!

I hope you could/can add sites like LinuxLite to the Brave whitelist on install.
If the option isn't there, yeah, it's pretty much shooting your own foot, with a gatling gun...with armor piercing bullets...and, "They get it!" says the little voice in my head. Wink

I had wanted to install brave for awhile now, but it had an intimidating-looking install process, with commands like curl; it wasn't just download, extract and press install. So I hadn't installed Brave on Linux because it seemed too confusing (although it's my preferred phone browser).  Thanks for providing an easy way for us to install the Brave browser!! Awesome!  8) Kudos for getting that done so quickly too.

Hi Vera,

I was curious about Brave too, and went to its Download page, Linux.  I simply copied their Command Lines...

curl -s https://brave-browser-apt-release.s3.bra...e-core.asc | sudo apt-key add -

echo "deb [arch=amd64] https://brave-browser-apt-release.s3.brave.com/ `lsb_release -sc` main" | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/brave-browser-release-`lsb_release -sc`.list

sudo apt update

sudo apt install brave-browser brave-keyring

...  and pasted the lot into Terminal (in full, not separate sudo commands), then my password, and sat back and watched as it all downloaded and installed.

Then to Menu/Internet/Brave Browser!

I've opened it and will try it out, though I am keeping Firefox as my main browser.  I'm curious about Qwant search engine, which is one of the large list included, so I've set it as Default in Brave.

NB: if reading this at a later date - go to Brave site for their current Command Lines, in case they change.
Thank you for this. I don't like how Firefox been going. So close to chrome tactics.
