Full Version: Can't get secondary disk to automount with Gnome Disks

I don't want to combine the partitions. I think I'll stick with what I've got for now, at least until I know more about this.
MHDDFS does not bare metal combine the partitions or change anything on the disks. Creates a kind of "virtual" file system of combined partitions using fuse. Read up some more on it. I think it is what you are looking for judging from your posts.

Thanks, but I need to leave the two partitions on the second internal disk the way they are because that way I can still use it with the original Windows 7 system disk I had in the computer before I switched it to Linux. (I have god reasons for this.) I did read about MHDDFS but it does not sound like what I was asking about, at least not the way I interpreted those articles. That third one, especially, had all kinds of alarming stuff in it from the perspective of leaving the disks in their original state, but maybe I misunderstood what it said. But if that's the case, then I'm obviously in over my head and would be safer with the status quo. :-)
