I have E17 installed on a fresh linux lite 32 bit system. But can not find
the way to login to it. Any Ideas.

Nope, Linux Lite does NOT 'play nice' with any other desktop environments besides the one that comes with it. You will have to reinstall LL to fix such damage.

If you want multiple desktop environments, you'll need to install something else that WILL play nice in a separate partition...
