Not likely to happen.

Hello!
That's certainly understandable. After all, Linux Lite is a volunteer project.
It would cost SOMEONE tens of $MILLION$ to develop such a smartphone OS - with VERY little (if any) chance of a significant return on investment. Come to think of it, for the life of me, I can't even BEGIN to fathom why Canonical would drop 'money down a hole' like that with THEIR smartphone OS, just to steer people toward a desktop/laptop OS that they just give away anyway.
As much as I hate advertising on Web sites, since I'm thinking of the topic, let me go on the record as saying that I would be in favor of a certain amount of not-too-terribly-annoying advertising on here, if it helped generate revenue to further fund the project...

LL is and hopefully always will be an alternative to commercial OS's ... to be that with it's development resources means staying on target and a project like this has been sorely needed, lets not destroy it and see it go the way of other projects that diversified themselves out of existence! leave phones to Firefox, Android and Ubuntu Touch ...
