Hi everyone! Hope you're all having a nice life!
Everytime I download everything and click on "open folder" in Firefox something else happens, instead of the required action a media player is open. I just uploaded this video so you can see for yourselves what I'm talking about. How can I troubleshoot this? What can be causing this? By the way, it's happening now with FF 57 but it also did with the previous version which I guess was 56..??? I just didn't pay much attention to it because I was using Opera but now I'm trying Firefox's new version and so far kind of like it.
a video on youtube
Thanks in advance for your answers/opinions/guidance/help

Save your downloads to downloads. Open Thunar snd select the app you want to use to open the file >firefox, vlc, etc.

Thanks for your answer. I did follow your suggestion but same result; if I try to open downloads folder from FF it opens QMplay2 media player no matter what type of file it is.
Don't open downloaded files in Firefox! Use the file manager (Thunar) Menu -> Accessories -> Home Folder, find Downloads folder and open files from there. Save any files you download using Firefox in the Downloads folder, then access those files using Thunar.

I'm not trying to open files in Firefox but the downloads folder. Which I can in Opera and I'm supposed to in Firefox too. The thing's I can't. If you watched that video you'd know what I'm talking about.
[member=5916]trinidad[/member] [member=6925]RandomBoy[/member] I uploaded a new video that clearly shows I can open the downlods folder from opera browser by clicking the button for this purpose.

Sorry [member=2]Jerry[/member] I really thought it was an "on topic" post.
Hi Guys,
I have the same problem.
I can see that topic has in the title SOLVED.
So what is the solution ?
I couldn't fine anywhere.
Don't tell me to open downloads folder in Thunar instead directly in Firefox, as this is not a solution.
It is only workaround, which I am not interested in tbh.
Kind regards,
Tom
