Hi everyone! Hope you're all having a nice life! I just found out that
Tixati has a Linux version. I have already installed it and it works just as great as it does in Windows. When I found this app in Windows it was so good to me cause I really wanted to ditch Utorrent and with tixati I finally did it. For those of you who've never used it and use to download stuff via torrents, I think you should definitely try it and you won't regret it
Hello,
I installed Tixati one week ago.
Works fine, but Tixati has too many parameters you ajust if you want, but works fine without changing any of these.

Yes you're right, Tixati works just fine "out of the box", yet you can play a little bit with the bandwidth configuration and set incoming and outcoming kb/s as needed/desired. Also, I'm really not sure but I think the
Ipfilter feature/setting was on in Windows and I noticed it's off by default in Linux.
Lazy ass question (since I didn't use torrents yet and didn't even Google it

), is there qBitTorrent for Linux?
Always used this whenever I torrent/magnet (2-3 times a year).
Going back to sleep... zz

Hi [member=6733]TheDead[/member]
Indeed. You can install it by opening a terminal and typing:
Code:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:qbittorrent-team/qbittorrent-stable
Code:
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install qbittorrent
Also, if you're more a "compile myself" guy rather than adding PPAs to your source.list, source code is available on its
website
I used it on Windows and Debian Jessie and like Utorrent I didn't like it either. I'm telling you man, Tixati rules! Well, at least it does for me
I tried Tixati a while back, I remember it had vibrant colors on black background, it looked like something from the Commodore64 days.
I dont use Torrents a lot so I use the "Simple and gets the job done!" approach for this kind of software.
But... since you said that it "rules" I'll try it again next time I need a torrent/magnet file...

... see? I listen to you...
Cheers!

It might not be the "prettiest" around but it certainly works, in my opinion, far better than the rest.

Well it's good you listen - read - cause you should
