Upgrade to LL3.6 from LL3.4 on eeePC 901 went ok, but I now find that Remmina 1.1.2 SFTP crashes into oblivion after entering the remote PCs SSH password. Remote desktop and SSH login both work ok.

The Remmina debug window indicates a segmentation fault after the password is entered.
I have purged Remmina and re-installed a few times with no success. Anyone else seeing this problem?

Update:
According to github, Remmina 1.1 is no longer supported so I removed it and installed 1.2 from the apps repository. But it has the same problem, segmentation fault when SFTP plugin is used.

You can try purging Remmina altogether and reinstalling.  See this link:  https://www.howtoinstall.co/en/ubuntu/xe...ion=remove

Or you can consider installing Filezilla as a replacement SFTP client.
Thanks torreydale, I already tried purge once but will try it again. I also have (and use sometimes) Filezilla, but Remmina is better for a small screen netbook, having  a more compact GUI. Remmina has been my preference for quite a long time.

A new google search leads me to believe the problem is known and may be corrected in a soon to be released update.
"Remmina has been my preference for quite a long time."

Me too, and I wish the Deb devs would at least get a workable version finished for Deb 9. I'd like to upgrade my normal work laptop from Deb 8. I can understand the issue with Ubuntu Unity but Deb should have been able to get this to work by now. I have tried for an afternoon a while back but there are too many dependency differences. Like you I like the small interface and the capacity to save many connections. I do not enjoy the annoying way file manager in Deb 9 handles connections. If it's going to make Remmina obsolete it needs to be improved.
