Full Version: Can I Name (or now ideally RE-name) a restore point in LL?

I have been used to being able to title a restore point rather than just having a date in Win XP and Win 7 such that I have a better idea of what I backed up e.g. "Before adding ____".

Is naming or re-naming a restore point something I can do in LL 3.4?  I've tried changing the title by double clicking in the date field and it will allow me to type stuff in, however once I exit then go back to the restore window it is back to the date only...

If yes, might someone be able to provide me with detailed instructions? I can't seem to find anything about this specific subject when I search.

Thanks in advance.
Yes it can - I usually add a tid bit of info to mine If more than just updates Wink

I don't have a LL box by me.. I believe there is a rename button, check the box on the right side of the restore point, click rename, swipe to highlight/arrow/etc and rename...

*May have to type name then click rename as final..

You are correct firenice03, and you DO have to type in something before the 'Rename' button becomes active.
Rename restore point in SystemBack ...
- open Systemback - on the LHS of the window you will see the list of restore points you've made (they are listed in order by date and time)
- left click on the one you want to edit
- right click to rename ...  all done  Wink

Let me know if you want a screenshot to help demonstrate this - if you do, I'll try and do this tomorrow

Thank you to all three.  I managed to rename (although also put one of the restore points into the highlighted area - not sure if/how to move it back, but this isn't a concern Wink

I ended up doing what Firenice03 suggested with adding in what Steve said.  I did first try what Mike said and I think once I right clicked I should have "selected all" then typed my new name, however since I wasn't completely sure I bailed and did what I first mentioned.

I have really appreciated the prompt and knowledgeable advice/help I have received to date which is so beneficial and crucial for a new user.  This forum is invaluable.  ;D
