Hi, greetings from Sweden

Installed Linux Lite 3.4 last night without any problems. Added KXStudio repo to it - no problem. Everything is running smooth on my "old" HP Elitebook 850p with 8GB RAM and a external Berhinger UMC22 usb soundcard. Can't be happier. This weekend I'm gonna install Harrison Mixbus and test some recording with a bunch of plugins.

I always split my hd into 4 partitions +swap, like this:
Boot 2GB
swap 8GB
/ root 100GB
/home 50% of free space (~100GB)
/audio 50% of free space (~100GB)

In my case I have a 320GB SATA HD. Don't know if I need swap when I have 8GB RAM but I have it just in case.

It's a great distro and I give 10 out 10 so far Smile yay!

Yeah, a great distro and forum, enjoy Smile
Ditto from the USA.
Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I've been running Lite now for the weekend and it works amazing. The problem I struggle with now is to be able to record midi via Carla Patchbay (KXStudio repo) with VST Plugins like bass, keyboard, synths. I now there is some linux instruments to use but the bassguitar I found (free one) sounds awesome, and I want to use it. I watch some videos on Youtube and some has got Native Instruments Kontakt to work via Carla and recording. But I can't get it to work...yet Smile

Thanks again
