My name is Miroslav and I just want to say that I am grateful for the open source development and also for making this distro. Linux Lite saved my work on my old laptop. I know it is based on Ubuntu but it runs smoother than its origin. No idea how or way, I'm guessing that is real indicator of how much effort has been put into this distro. This is not just for beginners.
Hello Miroslav,
Welcome to the forum and Linux Lite

It's our secret sauce. There are over 200 post-build tweaks added to Linux Lite before we build the ISO's.

I'm digging the secret sauce. I just moved my laptop from 2.8 to 3.4. I recently bought a relative the same computer I have, and when everything worked fine on it using 3.4, I decided it was time to upgrade mine. With 3.0, I had trouble coming from a sleep or locked screen and the mouse disappearing. I used the Ctrl-alt-F1/F7 workaround, but reverted to 2.8 and waited for the Ubuntu 16.04 base to stabilize. It obviously has and for me everything works as fast as I can click it.
Happy to oblige

I see coming back from a sleep/suspend/hibernate or lock screen that some text in the panel, the Whisker menu, and the right-click menu doesn't reappear, even after running "xfce4-panel -r" a few times. Perhaps I'll be brave enough to try more than just a kernel security upgrade in the future. But for now, I'll live with it.

Funny thing. Text even in the Screenshot popup didn't show. It's good I had the Imgur radio button memorized. I'll log out and back in to make everything regular again. I did also try the following taken from
https://www.linuxliteos.com/forums/other...se-cursor/.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:oibaf/graphics-drivers
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo reboot
Bizarre.
