I always forget the introduction part.....I can't remember where I came across Lite, but I thought I would try it on my old Compaq...I'm already using another Linux distro and have been for some time....I have a nas4free box and a headless Ubuntu server running a media server.
I still use W10 as I do IT support for a local school and some software I use is predominantly for Windows...I have tested it under wine but it can be flakey and a pia to set up, but generally I use Linux for everything. As far as Linux is concerned google is your friend, there's loads of information out there.

o/ Hi! Dang it, I wish that I had never (!) sold mine (years ago!); now that I've seen your post. Used to have a Compaq, it was like a second machine - after (this) Gateway 2000. I'm talkin' ancient history, LOL (must've been ~20+ years ago, right).

Anyway, RLY short story: sold it to a (at the time, very-good, Finnish) friend && literally tomorrow he calls me and it's "broken". Had this nice 15'' monitor, with speakers attached (!), upgraded RAM, it was a marvel, LMAO. So, I pop-over and one of his mom's 2, or 3 dogs had marked their territory: the PC b0x had been placed on the floor... Oh my goodness, it took me maybe a full day to clean it (longer, probably!); BUT, got it working. Compaq, indestructible!! <3 :) :)

Alright, ok, I do not know why I'm spamming your thread (tnx!), just had to get that out there, hehe. =)

Best regards from Belgrade!

P.S.
Tried a quick run-through Google Images and it was nowhere-near as good as this (more squared, older. :)); but, I loved that computer, man... Ugh, tried to attach the 2 (two) images which I had found, however - what I got, was: An Error Has Occurred!

(& then the list of allowed attachments allowed, TXT and all that; I'll just put that in, instead. :))

Edit: Argh. Prolly should've posted this in Off Topic. with a reference to the OP /Thread. Blah
