What does it do? Do I need to use it on this newer computer?

I believe it operates like a RAMdisk.  For your 12GB system, you wouldn't need it.

Thanks. Don't know what RAMdisk is either but now know I don't need either.  8)

zRam topic when I search but did check because I didn't know it was suppose to swap.  :-[
