Is there a database where free games for LL can be downloaded?
In an old laptop specs in mind.
I want to be able to download games and play them with no Internet connection.

Yes you can get free games for Linux by -

Menu>System>Lite Software>Games Pack

Also Menu>System>Lite Software> Play on Linux,  to play games you have for other OS.

I don't know which games as I don't be gaming.

I know there's something for Steam but you have pay to play and there aren't many linux based games there...

There are over 3000 games for Linux on Steam now, that's hardly 'aren't many'. Looking at your hardware specs, you options will be limited anyway.
