Full Version: Repository Server Upgraded

Today I upgraded our repository server that serves all our Lite Software and ISO releases.
I'm pleased to report the upgrade went very smoothly. This will now serve us through to April 2019.

On Jan 1st 2017, Ubuntu are strengthening APT repositories by ditching SHA-1. I've already corrected our repo in anticipation for this change, that's not to say there may be an issue or two come Jan 1st with updates. This is just a heads-up in-case Install Updates fail on that day. I'll be monitoring everything extremely closely and be poised to pounce if anything needs adjusting.

Jerry, I think this is related. I've down-loaded and installed LL3.2 32 bit and 64 bit versions on different machines and get a failure on both when trying to update - "Couldn't fetch the package cache information lists". Trying Install/Remove software and changing repositories (I'm in UK); chose "Best server"; was given a German one - de2.archive.ubuntu.com ; Close; Reload; and got "Could not download all repository indexes" "http://repo.linuxliteos.com/linuxlite xenial Release" does not have a Release file ... failed to fetch http://repo.linuxliteos.com/linuxlite/di...6/Packages 404 Not found ...  (Hope there are no significant transcription errors).

There does not seem to be a problem with my normal system where 3.0 has been upgraded to 3.2.

Can you help, please?
