Further teething problems with yesterday's LL3.0 install on the Toshiba Satellite Pro A300 laptop.
Just noticed the volume control button, that's normally visible on the RHS of the panel (at the bottom of the screen) has disappeared - how do I reinstate this, either GUI or Terminal.

Many thanks
Mike
You can right click on the panel and go to Add item.

That would be fine if it's listed but it's not, so there's nothing to add from right-clicking on LL3.0's panel... ???
I might return to LL2.8 on this laptop if issues with this install continue - might be simpler - always had a good experience installing LL generally  till
now - blame it on the English the weather...
You add the Indicator Plugin.  Right click on the panel, then go to Panel and then Add New Items.

That's what I did, torreydale, but the volume control icon is not shown under 'Add New Items' - lots of other icons are shown but not this specific one that looks like a 'mini-loudspeaker'.
Hi Mike,

The volume control is part of the Indicator Plugin torrydale mentioned. You need to add this item (= Indicator Plugin) to your panel.

Hope that helps Smile
