Hello!
Their home page (sans malware?) is duzeru.org. An excellent opportunity to add and use the translation plugin.
Though they say it's Debian-based, it looks LL-inspired to me. With the Rio Olympics looking disappointing, it's nice to know that SOMETHING good came out of Brazil this year...

"LL inspired" is a nice way to say it. Not only the Welcome window is identical. I saw even a screenshot with the LL Control Center!
So is the malware coming from them or via sourceforge?
Anybody looked at their repositories? Is Linux Lite one of them?
I decided, fool that I am, to give it a spin. Downloaded a 32 bit copy. Moved the .iso over to my 'never connected to the internet' Windows XP computer. 'Rufus' onto a usb stick. Disconnected the hard drive & booted 'er up. The first thing that came up was I was asked to put in a user ID & Password. (You can start nodding Jerry). Ever use the live disk of Linux Lite 1.0.0 to 1.0.6? The password & userID? - It's 'root'. When it started up, it's DejaVu all over again. Looks a lot like Linux Lite 1.0.8, but some very interesting differences. It installs kernel '3.16.0-4-686-pae' - BUT! in their version of 'Lite control Center' there is a GUI to change the kernel. An option, for example, is kernel '4.4.3 i386''. The software is via 'Synaptic' and (they're not fooling me with a different name) 'Gnome software center'. The repository is 'DuZeru.org.ftp.br.debian.org/Jessie'. It's a mix of English & Portuguese, but you can easily change everything to English. I'm a big fan of the 1.0.x series of Linux Lite & it's very like that, but with modern tools & features. I'd have to tell the truth, on first glance & poking around. I liked it. Is it safe & secure? Absolutely no idea, time will tell. On my torrent download there were downloaders from Brazil, USA, Japan, Norway & the Republic of Korea.
