well - PC is connect via cable not WiFi - Hardware does not show any irregularities. -
Question: Will be the System.log an helpful logfile? - Or the hardware listing?
What can I do to help you out with more info to detect the stumbling block?

Sorry to hear you're still facing this road block

It just crossed my mind. I'd most probably download the corresponding Xubuntu version and see how that would install.
Sending though more info regarding your hardware is always good.

Also, when you did the installations, did you click this little arrow to see more details of the installation process? Did it get stuck always at the same package/ step of the installation?
