Hello guys & gals! I am a privacy activist for two years now, meaning I inform people on how to stay safe on the internet and protect their right to privacy... I have recently made the switch to Linux (after using Windows for around 8 years) and I am loving it. This distro is truly optimized and runs great on my not-so-great hardware (pun intended  Big Grin). Would also like to see a LXDE version in the future as it'd even make it faster. Nonetheless, great distro, easily the fastest I've tried on this laptop and you have made my laptop usable again. Thanks!
Great effort you are doing!  Wink
Welcome!
Welcome Kyle. We have packaged Tor, which is available in Lite Software to add to your privacy options.
Hello!

Welcome to Linux Lite, and to the forums. I, for one, am interested in what you can share with us about security. Who knows? You just might end up with a sticky or few here.

I like LXDE as well, and it can be somewhat faster, but editing menus can get sticky with it, and was never able to customize it quite to my liking without it affecting something else.

With LL, XFCE Theme Manager makes the customization process SO easy. I also prefer XFCE's weather and CPU usage system tray applets.

IceWM is my fave super-light window manager, but it has a steeper learning curve. Over time,  I've found that speed is inversely proportional to user-friendliness...
