Booted up my computer today to find this message, and a tty:

System is booting up. See pam_nologin(8) ubuntu

Tried to login repeatedly with no luck. All I had to do was reboot and everything was fine again.
Thought I would post this as there are quite a few instances of this around the internet. Fortunately on Linux Lite, a reboot was all I needed.
