Having previously managed my Zen mp3 player on a Windows machine, I've now switched exclusively to Linux Lite 2.8.

My machine now will not recognise the player plugged in to any usb connection. Any ideas?

Also, and I guess it's a long shot, is their any possible support for Zen Media Manager/Organiser on Linux?
Try this software, open a terminal and do:

Code:
sudo apt-get install gnomad2
Thanks for that. It looks simple and I'll certainly try it.

First, though, I've got to get the system to recognise my usb-connected player. Doesn't show up in Drives.
Install the software first, then you can move onto the next step.
OK,  it's installed.
The software installed but the player is still not recognised.
You may need a restart. Can you also tell us the make and model no. Also please paste the output of lsusb in the terminal.

Just tried a restart and has made no difference. Here is the result of the lsusb:-

The player is a Creative Zen 8gb model.
What is the output of:

Code:
sudo mtp-detect

with the Zen plugged in?
OK, here's the result:-
