After reading that section of the help manual, I realized I have read it before, but forgotten what it meant. Thanks for the reminder.

Thus far, I've only tested 2.8 on a Live USB.
32 and 64 bit drivers seemed good (minus broadcom
)
1 thing I noticed, on the netbook, closing the lid and reopening comes back to a typical log on prompt but without a log on, blank/nothing.. and having to restart.
Not sure if normal since LL boots with no logon or something else..
Just an observation thus far... I'll install this evening and update with any, but expecting smooth sailing 8)

Must be a lot of people testing just not posting. The seed for 2.8 beta 64 bit is 3 times as much as 2.6 64 bit.

So I fully installed on the Mini (netbook) wiped out the previous install and formated.. Figured I clean up the let me try's and residuals...
The only noticeable difference I recall from previous, is that it refers to the OS as Ubuntu and not Linux Lite...
Not a biggie - just noticed. i.e. the prompt was "Install Ubuntu alongside them"
I chose the "something else" option..
Install was smooth and didn't very long (I opted to not install updates during install)
Post install, ran updates (no errors) and checked drivers..
Graphic, Sound and internal NIC all good - WiFi (Broadcom) still needed manual intervention.. Under"Install Drivers" there was driver listed - but this connection speed fluctuated. I reverted and used the driver in synaptic (b43-fwcutter)
Thus far all good..
I have noticed boot up time has reduced, slightly but I noticed ;D

That's common with a lot of Ubuntu based distros, the boot screen hides the restart message.
