According to Wikipedia, "The developers' current stance is that the initialism [Xfce] no longer stands for anything specific."  I say it should stand for:

X11 Funky Cold Environment

I never had any idea what it stood for, but if it was my project I would want it to be something like: "X11 Fully Configurable Environment"

X  for cool entities.
